Lake Parramatta Reserve is located in the north of Parramatta, a busy sub-center in Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, about 25 kilometers from the city center of Sydney, about 73 hectares.

The government of New South Wales has declared Lake Parramatta Reserve a "wildlife reserve."
