The Kinchega National Park is located in the interior of (Far West region), west of New South Wales, about 1050 kilometers from Sydney, the capital of New South Wales, and 130 kilometers from Broken Hill.

Founded in 1967, Kinchega National Park covers an area of 442.59 square kilometers. The small town of Meningdi (Menindee) is a town away from the National Park and a gateway to the National Park.
