National Museum of Australia is located on the north bank of Griffin Lake (Lake Burley Griffin) in the Canberra urban area of the Australian capital, across the lake from the Australian National Library.
National Museum of Australia history is not justified, in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Commonwealth of Australia, after years of planning and design, National Museum of Australia was cut by then Prime Minister John Howard himself on March 11,2001 and officially open to the public free of charge.
National Museum of Australia, through the pavilions, shows the people and things that have played an important role in Australia's country and people since its founding. There are five permanent exhibitions in the museum whose themes and meanings are:
State and nation: symbol of Australia;
Horizon: All Australians since 1788;
Eternity: a moving story from Australia;
The fate of entanglement: the land of Australia and its people;
First Australians: Australian Turks and residents of the Strait Island of Torres.
In the Australian Turkish Pavilion, there are the most and best art treasures about Turkish prints, stone carvings and so on in the world. During the opening ceremony, Mr. Don Cather, the former curator of the museum, said :" Whether it is the elaborate layout of the exhibition hall, the rich and interesting historical knowledge displayed in the exhibition hall, or the design of high-tech multimedia, simulated objects and pictures, every visitor will be worthy of the trip! ".
