Introduction of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park

The Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park is located in the southern inland of the North Territory, the nearest big city is about 460 km drive from the North Territory City Alice Spring (Alice Springs), about 1960 km drive from the capital of the North Territory, and the National Park covers an area of about 1326 square kilometers. It is the world natural and cultural heritage selected by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (1987).

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park have a special airport: Ayers Rock Airport (Ayers Rock Airport, airport code: AYQ), from the Melbourne、Sydney、 Alice Spring, there are direct flights, due to monopoly and remoteness, flights to Ayers Rock Airport are very expensive, the airport has Herz、AVIS and other rental companies to provide rental cars.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park consists of two parts: Uluru (Uluru, also known as Ayers Rock Ayers Rock) and Katakuta (Kata Tjuta). Uluru is the world's largest single rock, known as the "Red Heart of Australia ," while Katakuta consists of 36 dome rocks leaning together, forming deep valleys and steep rock walls, Kata Tjuta local vernacular, meaning long land. Uluru and Kata Chuta are about 50 kilometers away.

Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park tourists and staff (including airports, resorts, national parks, tour guides, etc.) all live in the resort village of yulara (Yulara) north of uluru, a few hundred kilometers away from the uninhabited area, as if it were a paradise.


There are five hotels in the resort:

  • Inland Pioneer Hostel (Outback Pioneer Lodge Youth Brigade)
  • Ost hotel (Emu Walk Apartments apartment hotel)
  • Desert Park Hotel (Desert Gardens Hotel Hotel)
  • Desert Windsurfing Hotel (Sails in the Desert Hotel)
  • In addition to the hotel, there are camping areas and RV areas to meet the needs of all kinds of guests.

  • October: am -8pm 5
  • November: am -8.30pm 5


Ticket prices (by early 2020):

  • Adult :$25
  • Children (5-15 years):$12.5
  • Family (size 2):$65
  • Tickets are valid for three days and can be accessed repeatedly


Tips:

  • According to the decision of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park board of directors, tourists are forbidden to climb Uru from October 26,2019.
