Triabunna is a coastal town on the southeast coast of Tasmania, about 85 kilometers from Horbart, the capital of Tasmania.
Triabunna is home to the wharf to and from (Maria Island) on Mariah Island, and Triabunna has a long history of colonization. The town was once a garrison fortress dedicated to the exile of criminals on Mariah Island. The road to discovery (Discovery Walk) begins with the Triabunna tourist Information Center (Triabunna Visitor Information Centre), is the only choice to be familiar with the history of the town.
