Australia`s health minister, Hunter (Minister Greg), said in a television interview that he would launch a public relations campaign aimed at anti-vaccination hotspots to achieve the goal of vaccination for all children.

According to Radio 9, Australian Health Minister Hunter said coverage rates for children in some areas, such as (Gold Coast Hinterland), New Richmond Valley, Melbourne, and Adelaide, were particularly low in some areas.

The average vaccination rate for Australian children is 93 percent, compared with 81.76 percent for one-year-olds on the Richmond Valley coast of (Richmond Valley Coastal), New York, according to 2017 Immunization Registry (Immunisation Register) data. The federal government will now target areas with the lowest vaccination coverage for children.

The campaign included online and ground ads, and Hunter said that while some residents were determined to be anti-vaccinators, most residents just wanted more information and would work on groups of cautious or uncertain parents.

It is reported that the vaccination rate reached 95% to achieve population immunization.
