Want to naturalize? Driving habits lead to denial of naturalization

Driving habits lead to denial of naturalization!

According to the Daily Telegraph, a man`s application for citizenship to Australia was denied because he had a shocking bad driving record and was a typical street killer!

Sogir Ahmed, a 43-year-old Asian man who has lived in Australia for more than 10 years, wants to be naturalized. But he was told that his driving habits had a huge threat on Australia and that naturalization applications could not be granted.

It is reported that between January 2009 and October 2015, Sogir committed 8 different driving offences. These include 25 speeding tickets, unlicensed driving, telephone calls while driving, non-compliance with traffic lights, and no police call after a car accident.

Executive appeal court Senior judge Chris Puplick said Sogir blatantly ignored traffic regulations, an act that would lead to threat Australia`s road safety. Australia must not ignore this.

Recently, Australia`s government has repeatedly claimed to tighten naturalization channels, to step up the citizen identity review. In a statement, the Australian immigrant minister David Coleman also issued a severe warning to naturalized applicants.

He said Australian citizenship is a privilege and should be granted to those who agree with Australian values, abide by Australia`s law and are willing to work hard to build a better Australia. Any inconsistencies with Australian values, including women`s and children`s violence, involvement in crime, and other acts of threat national security, are part of the naturalization review.

In the face of court`s charges, Sogir argued that not all of the violations were committed by him. His car was borrowed many times by a friend, and some of the illegal records were caused by his friend.

Whether or not court believes in Sogir`s defense, it is undeniable that Sogir has traffic violations. It is unlikely that Sogir would want to acquire Australian citizenship in the case of closer naturalization in Australia.

Here, Xiao Xin also reminds you to abide by Australia`s law, so as not to affect their future visa and naturalization applications!
