A reminder! Putting your hand out of the window and saying good-bye to a friend in Victoria can lead to a $484 penalty for the drive

 03 Apr 2019

Everyone abide by the rules!

Imagine: one day, you go to a friend`s house or go out to dinner with a friend.

After dinner is over, you drive away.

When you were in the car, you honked your horn and motioned to your friend. Then you rolled down the window and reached out to say goodbye to your friend.

Nice manners, right?

Most Australians usually do the same.

I don`t know, such polite behavior, but it is illegal!

And if you violate two Australian rules and regulations at the same time, you will be fined up to $484!

One of us.

First, it is impossible to wave your hand out of the window and wave goodbye to your friends.

Because under state law, drivers are prohibited from pushing out any part of the body-whether arm or leg-out of the window, unless the driver signals to other road users to turn, slow down, stop, etc.

At the same time, it is not possible for passengers to extend any part of their body out of the window.

Otherwise, a fine of $484 will be imposed.

By the way, it`s illegal to put your hand on the window.

New and Kunzhou have the same rules.

New and Kunzhou are fined $298.

Between 2013 and 2018, there were about 3000 drivers in Kunzhou, and about 4000 drivers in the new state were fined for sticking their hands out of the window.

The total fine was nearly A $2 million.
