Although everyone likes sunshine beach in summer, the risk of sunburn is too high. At this time to change of mind, Queensland is not only sunshine beach, we also have forest waterfalls!

The lush vegetation shields the hot sun, and what is more cool and calming than jumping into the Qingquan mountain stream.?


CEDAR CREEK

SAMFORD

Here is a natural pool surrounded by rocks, can fully feel the green forest and wilderness.

Take Samson Hill Road left onto Cedar Creek, to pass Andy Williams Park for a little stay.

Stop to watch the mountains and streams in the distance, or choose to continue along the mountains and streams, with children can also play with the water ~

Note: there are several private lands in the mountain stream. Please pay attention to not disturbing the owners as you pass by.

Location: about 50 minutes' drive from Gold Coast under the glorious foothills of the Samford area. It is also very convenient to drive from northwest Brisbane.


GARDNERS FALLS

MALENY

This is a summer resort on the way from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast! Get down from Landsborough-Maleny Road, then turn into Obi Creek Road, and you'll see the entrance to the jungle at the end of the road.

It only takes a few minutes to get to the waterfall, and when you pass a rock pool, you can hear the loud sound of the waterfall.

Go straight along the path and reach the waterfall and the swimming area, near which two huge high rocks form two natural platforms.

When you leave, pay attention to the edge of the rock under your feet, the shadow part may mislead you, an inadvertent, is a "bang" sound!

Location: 90 km north of Brisbane, about 1 hour and 20 minutes drive ~


KONDALILLA FALLS

MONTVILLE

Across the picturesque sunny coastal town of Hinterland, there is a lush rainforest in the Blackall Mountains north of Montville, including Kondalilla Falls.

Note: be sure to wear a pair of heel shoes, because you have to climb at least 100 corners on the way to the waterfall.

Part of the steps on the way is still steep, but for the beauty here, everything is worth it! Brisbane is also more than an hour's drive from Brisbane, the sunshine coast friends are still quite close ~


SERENITY FALLS

BUDERIM FOREST WALK

Tranquil Falls (also known as Burderim Falls), a secluded oasis, is a jewel in a sunny coast subtropical paradise.

There are two ways to reach the waterfall, about 20 minutes by train from Quorn Close, and through the park all the way north from the corner of Harry's Restaurant in about an hour.

From Brisbane, about one hour and twenty minutes ~


CURTIS FALLS

LIP FALLS

DENHAM SCENIC RESERVE

Lip falls are the local favorite place, summer resort, of course, this mountain contains more than that.

Follow Doncaster Road, a distance of 3 kilometers from the leading road, you can visit a city hall reserve, and then you will enter the rainforest. There are also several private territories and homes, so pay attention to and respect the lives of the local people.

Parking space is limited, visitors can use their space to park, but please do not park in residents' yard and driveway. As there are no managers in the waterfall, be sure to take away all the garbage.

Location: this waterfall is located south of Brisbane, about an hour and a half drive.


QUEEN MARY FALLS

MAIN RANGE NATIONAL PARK

Remember to enjoy the fresh country air as you drive across the spectacular Mary Falls. Keep going along Chunxi Road until you see the sign pointing in the direction of the waterfall.

You can walk below the waterfall and watch Mary Falls at the bottom. This waterfall falls as high as 40 meters, the scene is quite shocking!

In Main Range National Park, waterfalls are more than that. As long as you continue to walk in the park, there are surprises everywhere!

And you'll see BROWN FALLS,CHALAHN FALLS,MORANS FALLS,ELABANA FALLS wait.

Location: the park is located more than 100 kilometers southwest of Brisbane. It may take about an hour and a half to drive.


CURRUMBIN ROCK POOLS

CURRUMBIN

If you're on vacation on Gold Coast and still looking for different views, then Currumbin Rock Pools is a great place to go. Follow Currumbin Valley Road and you'll find a series of natural rock pools,

There is also a rocky field of wide view for swimming and picnics.

In fact, many people come here to enjoy the natural diving platform here.

Location: the waterfall is located about 100 kilometers south of Brisbane, more than an hour's drive.


TWIN FALLS

SPRINGBROOK NATIONAL PARK

To get to Twin Falls, you can start 4 kilometers counterclockwise from the Tallanbana picnic area or Canyon Lookout.

As far as the rainforest is concerned, you can also walk through rock caves and enjoy a great walking experience. You can enjoy it from the front, or feel the fog around your back and be a fairy.

There is also a NATURAL BRIDGE, in this national park that is arguably one of the most spectacular attractions in the heart of the Gold Coast. When the sun sets, you will see the natural bridge illuminated by fireflies.

Please note that in order to protect the natural habitat of these blue-light fireflies, no swimming and no flash lights are allowed here.

Location: the waterfall is located south of Brisbane. It takes about an hour and a half to drive from Brisbane.


BOOLOUMBA FALLS

CONONDALE NATIONAL PARK

It does take a 4WD to get to Booloumba Falls, because the roads in the park are gravel, including a few rugged crossroads.

Walking to the waterfall will take you through an open pristine forest, taking about two hours to reach the waterfall.

The waterfall can swim and is very suitable for camping.

Location: located north of Brisbane, it takes more than two hours to leave Brisbane. Drive over for a night and enjoy it just fine.
