How can Australia identify China's academic qualifications

Chinese doctorates in Australia are not directly recognized as having the same qualifications as Australian doctorates. They are judged on a case-by-case basis in accordance with the Australian Federal overseas qualifications Authority (NOOSR).


If Chinese masters and baccalaureates can produce a formal degree certificate with the words "regulations of the people's Republic of China on degrees" (whether graduated from universities, colleges or their branches), Their degrees can be directly regarded as equivalent to Australian masters and baccalaureates.


A certificate of graduation from a three-year full-time higher vocational college (excluding a teacher's college) issued after 1980 can be directly regarded in Australia as having the same qualifications as a two-year post-secondary diploma in Australia.


A three-year full-time university certificate (admitted through the National College entrance examination) issued after 1984 can be directly regarded in Australia as having the same qualifications as Australia's two-year post-secondary diploma.


A three-year full-time (non-work / medical) or four-year full-time (work, medical) diploma from the Radio and Television University issued after 1988 may be directly regarded in Australia as having the same qualifications as a two-year post-secondary diploma in Australia.


The three-year full-time engineering diploma awarded to employees and workers' universities after 1988 can be directly regarded in Australia as having the same qualifications as Australia's two-year post-secondary diploma.


A three-year full-time (or four-year full-time engineering) diploma from an amateur university issued after 1988 can be directly regarded in Australia as having the same qualifications as a two-year post-secondary diploma in Australia.


A three-or four-year full-time technical secondary school diploma issued after 1980 (admitted after the third year of junior high school) may be directly recognized in Australia as having the same degree as an Australian advanced certificate or level 4 certificate.


A two-or three-year full-time technical secondary school diploma issued after 1980 (admitted after a senior year) may be directly regarded in Australia as having an equivalent degree with an Australian advanced certificate or a level 4 certificate.
