Three people were rescued after a fire broke out on a popular beach ship in Sydney

A boat caught fire on a popular beach in Sydney on Friday afternoon, and three people on board were lucky to be rescued, Radio 9 reported.

It is reported that just after 1: 00 p.m. on Friday, a ship caught fire in (Oak Park), (Cronulla) Oak Park, Curunula.

(NSW Fire Brigade) speaker, the new state fire agency, said emergency workers rushed to the scene after receiving a report from a captain.

It is reported that the captain rescued three men on board the burning ship, none of them were injured.

Volunteers from (Marine Rescue NSW), the new state maritime rescue agency, issued safety warnings to some boat people, urging them to keep at least 300m from the burning ship every once in a while.

Station 9 learned that because the burning ship was 500m from shore and there were no other ships around, the New State Fire and Rescue (NSW Fire & Rescue agency cancelled rescue work and was told to keep the ship burning.

Thick black smoke appeared over the sea area.

Firefighters say the ship will burn until it sinks and salvage work is likely to take place in the next few days.

New state police speaker confirmed that the ship had been completely damaged and the fire was still booming.

It is not clear why the ship caught fire.
