Applicable to overseas applicants under the age of 18 who have been adopted or adopted by citizen, a permanent resident of Australia, or New Zealand citizen, eligible for guarantee, in the process of adoption.

Application fee
- Under 18 years of age: basic application fee $2370 other application fee $595 = $2965

Application conditions

Guarantee demands and obligations
Guarantee request

- Is the adoptive parent or adopter of the child who is in the process of adopting
- Over 18 years of age
- Australia citizen, Australian permanent resident or New Zealand citizen eligible for guarantee
- No criminal record
- Note: if the applicant under 18 years of age is under the age of 18 and the guarantee or his spouse has been convicted or paid a fine for harming the child, this guarantee shall not approve it.
Domestic adoption
- STAA (Australian State or Territory Adoption Authority), the state government adoption agency in which the adopter is located, is required to participate in the adoption process with the country in which the child is located
- The two countries have signed the Hague Convention (Hague Adoption Convention)
- Bilateral agreements have been signed with Australia
- Overseas adoption
- Parents must live abroad for more than 1 year before submitting their application
- Adoptive parents do not settle abroad to adopt their children
- Follow the law procedure in the country in which the child is adopted
- Adoption is subject to full custody of the adoptive parents (i.e. relationship of the severed and biological parents)
- Adopted under the arrangements of two countries (with the exception of Australia) that have signed the Hague Convention.
Private adoption
- The Australian government adoption agency does not support private adoption, including the adoption of children of relatives, so the adoption agency does not help them when they apply for a visa
- If the adoptive parents do not receive full custody at the time of private adoption, the application for such a visa shall not be approved
- Even if the adoption law requirement is met in the country where the adopted child is located, no visa will be issued if the visa application is not met.

Personal material-guarantee
- The guarantee is an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or a certificate of identification, of New Zealand citizen eligible for guarantee, including a copy of a birth certificate, a copy of an Australian passport or a copy of a passport that can prove to be an Australian permanent resident. For New Zealand citizen, Certificate of permanent residence in Australia and proof of association with Australia
- Proof of income or proof of tax payment in the past two years
- The guarantee employer certifies that the guarantee person works hours and annual salary, and if the guarantee person is self-employed, he or she can be certified by his accountant.
- If a guarantee person reaches the age of 16 and has resided in Australia for a cumulative period of 12 months or more, the Australian Police Department shall be required to certify that the person has resided in Australia for a cumulative period of 12 months.
- If a guarantee person reaches the age of 16 and has resided in any country other than Australia for a cumulative period of up to or more than 12 months in the past 10 years, proof of no crime must be provided in all of these countries
Personal materials-applicant
- Birth medical certificate notarization, if this document can not be provided, can provide at least one of the following materials

- If the name has been changed in the past, notarization of the name must be provided
- A notarized certificate that the adopted child was abandoned
- If the applicant has been arranged for adoption and the adoption is supported by the Australian / territorial government adoption agency, a document supporting the adoption must be provided
- The identification document of the adoption document, which must state that the applicant has been legally adopted for a full and long time, and that the relevant agency has agreed that the adopted child has been emigrated to Australia.
- If the applicant is adopted by an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or a eligible New Zealand citizen resident living overseas, but the adoption is not supported by the Australian / territorial government adoption agency, Written statements are required to explain the reasons why the parents of the adoptive applicant live abroad and the supporting materials in support of these statements (for example, work certificates)
