New Zealand`s prime minister, Adrian (Jacinda Ardern), tweeted this morning that she was pregnant and would be promoted to motherhood in June.

Adn tweeted that she was the first "prime minister and mother" and that her partner Clark would be a full-time father. This is the first child of the two.

Born in 1980, Adn is New Zealand`s youngest prime minister since 1856 and the third female prime minister in New Zealand`s history. She unexpectedly led Labour to a successful counter-attack in New Zealand`s general election last year.

Adeen revealed that she found herself pregnant six days before she was elected prime minister. She will rest for six weeks after childbirth, which she has passed with Deputy Prime Minister Peters, who will act as prime minister during the holiday.

Dehn will be the second head of state in world politics to be a mother during his term of office.

After learning this, Australian Prime Minister Tam Po also tweeted his congratulations this morning: congratulations @ jacindaardern on today`s good news. When we spoke this morning, your voice sounded happier than winning the election at that time! Lucy and I, and everyone on this side of the channel, love you and send you my best wishes.

Another tweet said: "Adeen said the pregnancy was an unexpected joy, she found out on October 13 last year that she was pregnant. That means she knew she was pregnant less than a week before she formed a cabinet, 26 days after New Zealand`s election. "
