South Australia's first secret kangaroo island: Iceland, Africa, Madei sense of three-in-one

 15 Jan 2019

After two days in Baroosa Valley, he returned to Adelaide, known as the most boring city, which, as the capital of South Australia, could travel in 20 minutes, indeed suffocating.

But more than 100 kilometers southwest of Adelaide, there is a wildest island: kangaroo.

Although only 20 kilometers away from South Australia, there are few people here, and even Australians feel like they are in another country. The island separated from the Australian mainland 10, 000 years ago until it was discovered and named kangaroo island by the British explorer Matthew Flinders in 1802, probably because seeing the kangaroo was easy enough to name. Whatever, it doesn't matter that kangaroos are everywhere.

Isolated from the mainland and not flooded with tourists, the kangaroo island has maintained a very primitive landscape and is home to a large number of endangered animals, such as lizards and pythons, more than wild kangaroos.

Most importantly, the kangaroo island played for two days and saw three isolated landforms: Iceland, East Africa and Maldives. Kangaroo island can only drive itself or with Adventure Tour.. It is suggested to drive from the wild, sometimes feeling like a Mercedes-Benz on the African prairie, overturned by the coastline when it comes to the coastal road.

An hour and a half drive from Adelaide to the ferry terminal in Cape Jervis with you to kangaroo island. About 40 minutes into the kangaroo island, you can pick up the car and start ramping on the throttle.

Pennington Bay

Penneshaw, a 20-minute drive from the ferry stop, arrived at this magnificent cliff beach. The best place to take the picture is the calm sea water in the inner bay, and I can run down to play with the water. Unfortunately, it rains when I pass here, and the whole picture is taken of Manchester, which is very lost by the sea. However, saw a group of dolphins looking for food not far away or driving away the atmosphere of mourning.

Seal Bay

Drive all the way west to Seal Bay. Don't worry about missing them, because they're all over the place. Compared to kangaroos, Seal Bay is a must-have place for tourists, but it's so cute that it's worth a visit to heal urban depression.

Vivonne Bay

Not far from Panther Bay, to the south, to Breeze Bay. Here you can feel the sea and the beach without losing Madei. And the shoreline is in the inner bay, the water is calm, you can dive and exercise. But, I hear there are sharks on kangaroo island from time to time, make sure you don't bleed to sea again.

Flinders Chase National Park

Don't miss this national forest park in the westernmost part of kangaroo island! There aren't many visitors here, even fewer are willing to walk into the forest, most of them go near the tourist center and look at koala and so on.

Besides kangaroos, you can see these animals.

In fact, driving into the vicinity of Snake Lake, walking through a rocky valley, the landscape is starting to look like Iceland, and then you'll find a completely unmanned beach, and if it happens to be two people coming here, Promise me you'll be Adam and Eve, okay?

Remarkable Rocks

The rocks are beautiful, but there are a lot of tourists, like whether to go.

The road to Remarkable Rocks is beautiful enough not to be missed.

Admirals Arch

Another tourist resort, but still worth a visit, is also the logo of the kangaroo island. It is formed by the sea wind erosion of rock arches, a large number of New Zealand sea dogs in the nearby lazy sun.

And here the sea is more surging, the scenery is very magnificent, or worth a look. Although it is a tourist resort, but the kangaroo island is not many tourists, very comfortable.

Southern Ocean Lodge

The accommodation on kangaroo island is still very original (you know what it means). There are no five-star hotels, mostly residential accommodation and farm cabins. But kangaroo island has one of Australia's wildest hotels (by no means one).

The hotel has only 21 suites built on a cliff facing the sea, the most beautiful is the waves of the bathroom and terrace, the magnificent sea view is the background of your bath.

The lobby is also beautiful, with seats facing the sea and drinking around the ceiling fireplace to watch the sun go down. But the house price is also very impressive, 11000 one night, sleep a night to move to the farm cabin to sleep in a hardboard bed to experience the original life.

Yes, I photographed a lot of kangaroos, and I didn't want to send out visual fatigue.

But kangaroo island, definitely worth a field.
