NEW DELHI/Srinagar, July 3(Reuters)- Indian officials say Prime Minister Modi flies to the Ladakh region in the northern Himalayas on Friday. Tensions between china and india rose several weeks ago when the two countries army on conflict, disputed border in the region.

Officials said Modi was accompanied by the Bipin Rawat of the Indian Chief of Defence Staff and Manoj Mukund Army Chief of Staff.
India and china have accused each other of provoking conflict. in the galvan valley on june 15th, with 20 indian soldiers death, at least 76 wounded in the conflict.
China has not announced its casualties.
The two countries have deployed additional army, along the border and are conducting military and diplomatic negotiations to ease conflict.
