A car accident in South Australia led to a jungle fire

 10 Mar 2018

A car accident in Paracombe set the nearby grass on fire and spread to Adelaide Hills.

Firefighters are still fighting an emergency fire at, Southern Mount Lofty Rangers`s Kangaroo Creek Reservoir, where fire is under control.

Between 30 and 40 hectares of mountain areas were affected by the fire, and no other houses or vehicles were found to have been affected by the fire, except for the vehicles that caused the fire.

The fire has now been extinguished, but the weather forecast predicts that local temperatures will be as high as 35 degrees Celsius today, and there is still no way to relax our vigilance.

Authorities have warned residents of Paracombe,Milbrook and Houghhton to remain vigilant and evacuate as soon as there are signs of fire.

Smoke from the fire drifted all the way to the Tea Tree Gully and Golden Grove areas.

Fire-affected Gorge Road,Harvey Road and Hurst Road were closed last night and are now re-accessible.
