Missing Chinese woman in torrential rain


A chinese woman suspected of being swept away by floodwaters at a national park in the interior of the gold coast has been suspended for a time after heavy rains on australia`s east coast.

Yang Chen was reported missing at 11 p.m. yesterday when a man who was walking with her at Gorge Falls in the Tallebudgera Valley resort called police for not seeing her

Fearing the 26-year-old woman`s safety as a result of recent torrential rains and flooding of several creeks, autharies sent out a large number of police officers and emergency services officers for the search and rescue operation yesterday.

But a police speaker confirmed yesterday at around 5:30 p.m. that the search operation could not continue because the storm was so dangerous. Search and rescue operations will resume as soon as the weather conditions fit.

Police also called on anyone who had seen the woman to contact them immediately.

Police said it was not clear whether the missing Chinese young woman had been lost and walked into Tallebudgera Creek Road or Springbrook Road is planning to fall or fall as a result of recent torrential rains that have flooded many of the local creeks.

The police urged anyone who might see Yang to contact them immediately.
