Adelaide north found a copy credit card device on the ATM! There is no way of preventing it! How to deal with it?

 28 Jul 2017

The police found a card-copying device on the ATM in the Prospect district north of Ade! People are strongly urged to be vigilant when using ATMs!

Staff reported to police around 02:30 on July 27, 2017, after North Park Shopping Centre in Main North Rd noticed suspicious devices on their bank`s ATM.

Police have removed the device and are investigating.

A similar incident occurred in Adelaide in May when a card sorter was found attached to Blackwood`s ATM. Police have warned the public to try to use ATM machines located in banks to avoid becoming victims of credit card fraud because they often make it difficult to install illegal devices.

Always mask the keyboard when entering the password. If there is a loose card slot or plastic stick, please notify the bank immediately. Anyone with knowledge of the case can call Crime Stoppers:1800 333,000 or report www.crimestopperssa.com.au. online
