On Friday, an estimated 300000 Australians took part in climate change-focused parade across the country. Puns and sarcastic slogans reveal the fear and frustration of young Australians about climate change. They think the earth is facing survival threat.

Integrated Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Sydney Herald Morning Post reported that the global climate strike is the predecessor of the "School strike 4 Climate campaign" launched by Swedish teenagers Greta Thunberg.

It is reported that in yesterday`s national parade, Melbourne was attended by about 100000 people, Brisbane 30, 000 and Sydney 50 to 80, 000.

Organizers described Friday`s 300000 Australian parade as the largest nationwide parade since the 500000 protest Iraq War in 2003. In March and November last year, the number of strike participants in similar schools was 40, 000 and 15000, respectively.

The protest activity is not limited to the Australian capital city. It is spread over the snowy mountains of (Mount Hotham), the (Alice Springs) Center of Alice Springs, and the Chinchilla (Chinchilla)., four hours` drive from Brisbane.

Tens of thousands of students called on the older generation to "clean up the mess". The school has made three demands for the climate movement`s strike: to eliminate new coal or natural gas projects; to provide 100 per cent of electricity by renewable energy by 2030; and to provide funding to support the "just transition" of fossil fuel workers and their communities.

The following are pictures released by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation:
