Sydney's little brother shot a laser light into the sky and was sentenced to nine months in prison

 14 Nov 2018

As a child, we should have played with that kind of infrared laser flashlights. Have seen all kinds of police bandits film, with that laser flashlight pretend to be a sniper, to the small partner of the body to shoot, that feel cool!

Recently, however, a young man in Sydney shot at the sky at night with this kind of laser light, but accidentally caused a disaster.

The young man`s name is Luke Jones,. One Saturday night in late July, Luke made a joke-like move that brought serious consequences to him!

At about 08:30 in the evening, Luke was playing with his laser flashlight on his balcony. Maybe for a moment, Luke shot the laser light in his hand into the sky.

Luke probably didn`t expect that the range of the laser light was so wide. He just threw a little flashlight into the sky and shot a police helicopter!

At the time, the helicopter was tracking a burglar, and the officers on board were looking around the ground. Unexpectedly, a red light suddenly appeared, attracting their attention!

One of the officers on board was shot by the laser before he could figure out what was going on. Suddenly, the police officer was blinded and couldn`t see anything!

Fortunately, the police crew are trained. They responded calmly and quickly regained control of the helicopter.

Luke himself did not expect to pay such a price for this unintentional act.

The court felt that Luke, who was sentenced to nine months in prison, was found to have lost several people on the helicopter for a minute, even though he had not caused a major disaster.

Luke says he really regrets what he did now. If he hadn`t had some fun at that time, he wouldn`t have come to such an end now. But regret has not come, the next few months, he can only think about life in the cell!

In fact, this kind of short-handed behavior has not happened for the first time. Before that, many people were warned and imprisoned for firing laser lights at helicopters.

, WA Today, Oct. 2016: a man has been arrested for targeting a police helicopter with a laser flashlight.

In February 2017, Herald Sun:23-year-old defendant illegally fired a laser light at a police helicopter in West Heidelberg.

In March 17, News.com.au: `s new state police helicopter was hit by a laser light.

Xiao Shuai here to remind everyone: although the laser flashlight looks fun, but do not owe, take it to the air to attack oh!
