Student visa in prostitution, Australia! Police say they've fallen into contemporary slavery.

 21 Aug 2018

Police found that the two massage parlors run by a woman, who is now in police custody, are actually brothel, according to 9news.

Police carried out investigations into Bayside Relaxation Massage in St Kilda and Park Street Massage in South Melbourne, where many women with illegal student visas were working in the massage parlours.

"wherever you have money, you can find crime."

It is reported that consumers to the brothel are paid in cash, which makes it easier to escape police tracking. Police have seized evidence that the brothel may have been linked to human trafficking.

Australian Border Service staff questioned women working in the brothel during the raid.

Commander Craig Palmer said: "We usually find these people scared and vulnerable, and they are forced into this role."

In many cases, criminals promised the women a visa and a better life in Australia, but when they arrived, they were forced to sell their bodies to live.

"they sleep in the store, eat in the store, it`s very strict control, it`s contemporary slavery."
