Brisbane ferry strike! Two days with significantly reduced or even outage operation Tim

Passengers on the Brisbane ferry are told to find other ways to get to work! Because more than 130 drivers in the city launched a two-day strike.

Ferry workers are reported to have gone on strike because they called for higher wages and job security.

By then, CityCat and CityHopper ferry services will have less time to operate.

Kangaroo Point and Normal Park cross-river ferry, is completely shut down.

Striking workers gathered at Hawthorne wharf, shouting slogans, "no courage, no backbone", demanding better treatment from ferry operator Transdev.

Transdev, which signed a contract with the Brisbane City Council to operate the ferry service, said it would do its best to keep as many ferries as possible.

The Australian Maritime Union, MUA said many of the workers on the Brisbane ferry were underpaid and none of them worked sense of security because they were temporary workers.

The company apologized to commuters for the chaos, but said it would not give in to the demands of its employees.
