According to a 20-year plan for the modernization of a $3 billion special force, the elite troops will be better equipped and trained to cope with the terrorism and other threat.
According to the Messenger Post, Australian special forces will implement the largest reform plan, Project GREYFIN, including the Airborne Secret Service (SAS) and the first strike regiment, and provide cutting-edge equipment to elite soldiers.
The plan will provide better weapons, bulletproof vests, parachuting and climbing equipment, and strengthen training in medical search and rescue, communications and response to terrorism.
According to Morrison (Morrison Government) government`s plan, A $500m in the first phase will be invested over the next four years.
