Six Australians killed in Queens town rafting, one of whom was confirmed to be a senior new state police office

A new state police officer, Joshua Paroche, capsized a boat while drifting on a raft with five other Australians on Saturday at (Shotover River) in (north of Queenstown), north of Queens, New Zealand.

An Australian man killed on a rafting trip to South Island, New Zealand, has been identified as a 31-year-old new state police officer, Joshua Paroche (Joshua Paroci).

Joshua Paloche, who was among five other Australians, capsized a boat while drifting on a raft on Saturday at (Shotover River) in (north of Queenstown), north of Queens, New Zealand.

"We believe that everything was done through instructions and standard procedures, but the result must have been something we didn`t expect," said Tim Barker, general manager of Totally Tourism, the company that owns the accident.

Mr. Paloche`s colleagues paid tribute on Monday to the officer in 2008, who was working for (Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad), a child abuse and sex crime unit at (Crime Command), the new state`s fight crime headquarters, and his wife was also a police officer.

New state police chief Mick? "Paloche is respected by everyone who knows him," Fuller (Mick Fuller) said. "the police will be around his loved ones during this difficult time."

Two months ago, a tour guide died in an accident in the same part of the river.
