On Tuesday (December 19, 2017) around 11:00, a Chinese woman suffered a serious car accident at (Cape Otway Road) on (Geelong) Otway Cape Road in Gillon, Victoria, and on the (Princes Highway) section of Prince`s Highway.

According to the Gillon Advertising, the 33-year-old woman from Beijing collided with a pick-up truck at a speed of up to 100km per hour before she was taken to Alfred Hospital for rescue at (The Alfred Houspital). So far he is not out of danger. Police believe the accident was caused by the woman driving in front of an incoming pick-up truck.

A five-year-old boy and three others were said to have been injured in the accident.

A man from Europe collided head-on with a truck as he drove into the wrong lane on Cape Otway Road last week. After five days of fighting with death, the man`s family decided late Tuesday night to turn off the life support system. Senior Superintendent Wilby (Robert Wilby) told local residents that a series of accidents involving foreign drivers had raised concerns along the surf coast of (Surf Coast) and Otwy (Otway). He said the foreign drivers not only drove into the wrong lane, as tourists, they would park in the middle of the road to take pictures.

Former police officer (Corangamite Shire) Councillor (Simon Illingworth) of Crangameter County has called for a series of new safety measures against foreigners driving in Australia, including forcing (keep left) stickers on the steering wheel of rental cars to be "on the left". And distribute multi-language driving information pamphlets and so on.

Iliworth`s idea was supported by the head of (Avalon Airport) at Avalon Airport. The state of goverment has been criticised for refusing to train foreign drivers and for failing to carry out reforms in a timely manner.
