This is robbery! Sydney CBD outbreak large-scale demonstration parade, Thousand boycott New State Road problem

 18 Feb 2018

According to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, new state unions and local community groups have taken to the streets, attacking the railway system, bus privatisation and large-scale construction projects in goverment, such as Sydney Rail, WestConnex,. F6 toll road and Western Harbour Tunnel (Western Harbour Tunnel) and other issues.

Mary Court, secretary-general of the Penrith Valley Community Alliance, said private toll tolls totaled billions of Australian dollars and warned Governor Gladys Berejiklian "not to mess up the western part of the new state," Court said: "Gladys, I`m ashamed of you!"

Court also attacked the toll issue of the new M4 highway. "this is robbery! M4 has already collected a lot of money in 2014, and why people in West Sydney and the rest of the state will have to spend the next 41 years," he said. Paying so much tax for WestConnex and the Western Harbour Tunnel? If the M4 fee is not cancelled, then we will remove you! "

The WestConnex Highway is known to be Sydney`s largest infrastructure project since Sydney`s Harbour Bridge, but is controversial. While supporters of the highway say it will reduce commuting time for West Sydney residents, many are strongly opposed to spending money on public transport projects.

Resident Ryan Gorman said WestConnex would "destroy our city". "there is already an answer to the public transport situation in this city, and there is no need to spend so much money on it. I think A $17 billion can be used in other more beneficial places."

New state governor Gladys, however, is proud of Sydney`s ability to build large-scale transport projects: "people want to spend time with their families or get to work on time without worrying about traffic jams."
