President Trump arrived at the Walter Reed National military Medical Center (Walter Reed National Military Medical Center) in Maryland, outside the capital, at around 5.45 p.m. Saturday to visit wounded U.S. troops. Trump entered the medical center wearing a mask accompanied by military medical personnel. Reuters said it was Trump first public face mask since the outbreak.

About to leave the White House and go to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, he told reporters, "I think when you are in the hospital, especially when you are talking with many officers and soldiers in that special place, some of them just left the operating table. I I think maybe a mask is a big thing."

Trump wore a navy blue mask with a gold presidential logo, Reuters said. He did not address the journalist waiting at the gate of the medical centre, but said "thank you ".

President Trump said he plans to meet medical personnel to combat the spread of the Coronavirus epidemic, in addition to visiting wounded U.S. troops. Trump told Fox that he would wear a mask when visiting a national military medical center because it was "very appropriate" to wear a mask in a hospital.

President Trump last visited the National military Medical Center in November 2019. The White House said the president was on a "temporary medical check-up ".
