The new state, goverment, announced its immigration plan for fiscal year 2018 / 19 before the end of fiscal year 2017 / 18, according to SBS.
Unlike other states and territories, the new state, goverment, runs the state's skilled migration program with (Department of Home Affairs), the Home Affairs Department. Under the program, the new state goverment can support the required technical visa applicants based on the state's economic and skills needs.
New state goverment has launched an immigration program for the new fiscal year, and the list of technical-guaranteed visa skills occupations in the new state has been updated. Under the new state's 190 visa program, skilled workers nominated by the state goverment should work on the new state's list of priority skills occupations, (NSW Priority Skilled Occupation List). The nominees must also promise to live and work in the new state for the first two years of their 190 visa to Australia.
Like 189 independent skilled immigrants, 190 visas also use a scoring test. Applicants nominated by the state may be added by 5 points.
Given that some visas have risen to 85 points, immigration agents say state nominations are helpful for many applicants for the required points.

Getting state nominations is also a good way for skilled job applicants to get permanent residency.

While chefs, hotel and motel managers and special needs teachers have been removed, management consultants have added a list of 190 jobs for the new fiscal year.

According to the plan, the top job applicants will be invited all year round, the new state goverment said. Applicants must meet both state goverment and federal goverment requirements.
