An unidentified man drowned on a hot beach in southern Melbourne Monday morning.
At about 09:40 on Monday, a man was found floating above the water and facing down in southern waters of (Brighton Beach), Brighton Beach, Melbourne, Radio 9 reported. The emergency service personnel received the report and arrived at the scene.
The water policeman (Water Police) rescued the man from the water, but he didn`t wake up.
Police have not yet identified the victim and will prepare a report for the legal medical expert.
Seventeen people have drowned in Victoria since the beginning of the summer.
