Adelaide proposes an iconic arch to emulate Paris

 27 Apr 2017

Paris has the Triumph Gate, Berlin has the Brandenburg Gate, and New Delhi has the Indian Gate. Adelaide, the capital of South Australia, will also welcome the iconic arch building as long as a parliamentary proposal is approved.

According to Adelaide Today, Adelaide City Council (Adelaide City Council) proposed a new landmark arch in the city centre to enhance the city`s glamour. Adelaide City Council has now selected two arch construction addresses, either main North Road (Main North Rd) or Jazz Donald Bradman Road (Sir Donald Bradman Dr). It is reported that the project budget as high as 3.1 million Australian dollars.

North Ward (North Ward) MP Martin (Phil Martin) said parliament has yet to receive any applications or design proposals related to the arch project, only high budget forecasts.

Senator Martin thinks spending A $3.1 million on the new arch is not as good as spending it on other useful things.

Adelaide City Council spokesman said the archway project is only in the "proposed" phase, only in response to the proposal made by the Adelaide Council`s strategic planning (Council`s Strategic Plan). The proposal for the arch project will be submitted to parliament for consideration in the next few weeks.
