Australia is facing a "super" hornet-ravaged problem in Europe. Several large hives have been found in Western Australia, home to as many as 20,000 aggressive wasps.

As one of the worst insects in the world, the European wasp was listed as a pest by the Australian Department of Primary Industry and Regional Development (Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development) on the 15th, the Daily Mail reported.

Wedmer (Marc Widmer), an entomologist at Australia`s first Industry and Regional Development Department, told the media that European wasps pose a threat to Australia`s ecology and biodiversity and need to be eliminated as soon as possible before it is too late.

In Europe, the queen wasp will die in the cold months, says Wedmer. However, the relatively warm weather conditions in Australia and New Zealand mean that they can continue to multiply and form superhives.

(Sonya Broughton), chief biosafety officer of Australia`s first Industry and Regional Development Department, called on the public to actively help locate European hornet nests, particularly along Western Australia`s Perth and Darling range (Darling Scarp).

Braughton encouraged the public to take more assistance measures. For example: install as many beebusters as possible, pay close attention to residential gardens and local parks, and so on.

If the people find the wasp hive, do not approach, please contact the authorities to handle.
