According to Radio 7, there are at least 18 little penguins mysterious death on a beach in northwest Tazhou.
It is reported that the bodies of the penguins were found by a public in Alfstone (Ulverstone) on Thursday morning. Wildlife rescue agencies are trying to determine the cause of their death.
Spodin (Michael Spaulding), a staff member at (Parks and Wildlife), a park and wildlife agency, said it would not be surprising if more penguin corpses were found. The agency called on people who found death penguins to report, but not to touch them.
It is reported that before, Tazhou area, penguins were massacred. In December, authorities confirmed that 30 penguins in (Bicheno), on the east coast of Tazhou, had been attacked by dogs against death. In March, 14 more penguins were thought to have been attacked by dogs in (Low Head), north of Tazhou.
It is understood that the little penguin is also known as fairy penguin, the average weight is only 1 kilogram.
