Brisbane crematorium was looted and the ashes of the two dead who had been planned to be buried that day were stolen.

On Wednesday morning, two plastic containers containing ashes and shoe boxes were stolen at (Ipswich) Wally Park Meadow Cemetery in Ipswich, Queensland, with the victim`s name attached to the box, according to Channel 7.

Detective Superintendent Briss (David Briese) said the police were not sure why the thieves stole the ashes. But the entire crematorium office was a mess. Thieves may be looking for cash or other valuable items, and after nothing is found, they take the boxes off the shelf and think they contain other belongings.

The two dead, aged 49 and 76, were not associated. The families of the deceased are very depressed, hoping that the personnel concerned can show due respect and return to their ashes.
