Drivers, if your car has been covered with dust, license plates are covered, wash it quickly, or you may be punished to cry!

New state police recently posted a post on fb reminding people that if they "don`t wash their cars properly" or if they don`t pay attention to cleaning their license plates, they could be fined up to A $450 and deducted by three points.

This punishment is really not light!

According to Section 25 of the New State Road and Maritime regulations, the license plate must be "clear and clean," and must not be obscured, defaced, etc. Drivers may also be fined for not displaying the license plate correctly or for being difficult to see.

In another post, the new state police said the license plate was not allowed to be hinged.

"the license plate must be firmly fixed, or the driver will be punished with a A $448 fine and a 3-point deduction."

Soon the rule was moaned by netizens: "it`s best not to dirty the car because we have limited water here," said one netizen.

"now whatever you do, you will be fined."

However, some people also expressed support, one netizen commented: "I express support!"

While the new state imposed huge fines on the violation, the rest of Australia was even more fined.

Owners of South Australia could be fined up to A $474.

A fine of A $60 will also be imposed to pay for victims seeking help.

Western Australia is liable to a maximum fine of A $100, Victoria A $161, and the lowest penalty is A $70 in the Northern Territory.

Remember to wash the car and check the license plate frequently. Avoid unnecessary fines!
