Category 485 visas are divided into two main branches:
- Post-Study Work Stream (is PSW); and
- Graduate Work Stream (is TR).
First, PSW is a new category 485 visa. The validity of the visa is related to the applicant's education.
- If you are an undergraduate or graduate student, then your PSW visa lasts 2 years;
- If you are a graduate student (research type), then your PSW visa duration is 3 years;
- If you're a doctor, then PSW is four years.
In particular, however, all applicants must meet the following criteria to apply for an PSW visa: an Australian student visa for the first time after November 5, 2011.
Visa application requirements:
- Completion of a two-year full-time study requirement in Australia (CRICOS registration time greater than 92 weeks);
- Obtain a bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctorate academic degree, and must be enrolled in an CRICOS course;
- Applicants applying for category 485 visas must be within 6 months of the completion of the education (depending on the time specified in the completion letter issued by the school);
- Applicants must be in Australia when applying for category 485 visas, and must also be in Australia when issuing visas;
- Language score: equivalent to 6 points of IELTS total score, and no less than 5 points of each subject (A, G can be accepted) of the approved English test results.
One of the biggest advantages of an PSW visa is that it does not require a career assessment and there are no restrictions on what you study. In other words, no matter what major you study in Australia, you can apply for an PSW visa as long as the above points are met.
So, what basic materials do children's shoes have to prepare?

- A career pre-assessment or full assessment of a nominated occupation.

One point that needs to be noted here is language achievement. What we mentioned above is only the language requirements for such visas, and the language requirements for the evaluation of nominating occupations may vary. What's the difference between TR and PSW?
- Job assessment of immigrants: TR needs, PSW does not;
- Professional requirements: PSW is not limited to professional, TR professional requirements is that the applicant must be in the MLTSSL list of occupations;
- Course collocation: PSW must have an applicant's Level from low to high, such as Foundation- > Diploma-> Bachelor-> Master. If the applicant comes back from Bachelor, and studies Diploma or Foundation, then he cannot apply for PSW. On the contrary, TR does not have any Level restrictions on the course.
Minefield, don't step!
Although 485 visa application seems very simple, easy, but, there are a lot of traps, children's shoes do not step on the minefield!
(1) when applying for TR, the Immigration Board requires the applicant to complete a profession that must be closely related to the nominating profession, (Closely Related)!
This is crucial. Many children's shoes are refused because they don't care about it. According to the explanation given by the Immigration Service on this condition, it is not difficult to see that it is closely related, that is, the subject studied by the applicant can be applied directly to the nominating profession.
For example, Little A's master's degree is in engineering, but if she nominates as a registered nurse, that's not the case. Therefore, students must make a good plan ahead of time!
(2) when applying for a PSW visa, you must pay attention to the application requirement of two-year full-time Australian study.
Many students have misunderstood this article. Some students think that I can use fail an exam to meet the two-year requirement, or some students think that my credit deduction is okay. These are all incorrect ideas! A two-year full-time Australian study refers to a course that takes two years to enroll, but not how long it actually takes you to complete the course.

Principal applicant: 1535 Australian dollars;

485 visa processing cycles:
TR:75% 's 82-day application, 90% of which take four months;
PSW:75 application 74 days, 90% of applications need 88 days.

3) online payment of visa fee;
4) submission of visa application.
