Victoria recorded seven new crown confirmed cases on Sunday, the same number as Saturday, no new death cases.

Victoria is likely to begin further "unsealing" today, paving the way for retail and hotel businesses to open in a few days, but a growing epidemic in the northern suburbs may prevent the "unsealing" from going smoothly.

On Saturday, four more cases were linked to the North District infection cluster, with thousands of tests still pending.

Victoria's governor, Daniel Andrews, said he and his public health team needed to wait for these tests to determine whether the outbreak was under control before deciding on Sunday's unsealing.

Andrews said :& quot;: Many people have been hoping [Sunday], Because on this day we'll have an absolute picture of October and November, & quot; He stressed, At least six families added four cases on Saturday, reached 32 cases.

Governor Andrews: Melbourne & quot; can't & quot; further relax restrictions

Melbourne will not enter the next phase of reopening, although the state records only seven new cases today.

Governor Daniel Andrews said the health authorities was still waiting for test results that could erupt. Melbourne can not relax the restrictions until the results are obtained.

& quot; we have at least 1,000 tests from that North District infection cluster in the lab ,& quot; he said.

& quot; we will get these results today, maybe tomorrow will get the rest, and extra testing will be done all day. And it's not something else, it's a careful pause, waiting to get the important information, the results of the tests, just to rule out if there's more virus ." than we thought

quot; this is not a setback. This is just waiting, guided by data, guided by science. & quot;

The news came as Melbourne was about to enter the four months of an exhausting phase IV blockade.

The federal government today called on Victoria to lift the blockade, and the health minister Greg Hunt (Greg Hunt) said the state was "free of obstacles ".

& quot; we are in a strong position, there should be no obstacles for Victoria to take these steps in line with NSW, quot; he said.

& quot; obviously have more work to do, but they have significantly improved, and in our opinion they have the ability to manage the small number of cases because if we do not, then we see the risk of mental health.

& quot; the only reason Victoria won't restrictions is if they have no confidence in their contact tracking. & quot;

Melbourne's initial date of reopening into the next phase is November 1.

However, after a week of low-diagnostic figures, government said it would advance the unsealing plan.
