The governor was caught on the phone while driving during the New year, and police confirmed that tickets had been issued.
Governor Will Hodgman admitted he had broken the law after a Facebook post accused him of calling while New Year`s Day was driving an intersection in Hobart CBD that day.
"I don`t have much to dispute about calling when I`m at the intersection. I`ve asked the traffic department of the state police," he said. He was questioned by reporters last week.
