(AFP, Seoul ,3) North Korea`s state-run media reported today that leader Kim Jong-un praised the "dazzling success" of anti-epidemic efforts. Yet experts say North Korea is afraid of avoiding a coronary virus disease (COVID-19) infection in 2019, and its health system is struggling to cope with a major outbreak.

Kim Jong-un chaired the expanded meeting of the Politburo of the Labour Party. After reviewing the report, he said ," We have completely stopped the evil virus attack... and the anti-epidemic situation remains stable, even though the world is facing a health crisis. 」

North korea`s central communications (KCNA) statement quoted Kim Jong-un as warning that the anti-epidemic line should not be "slightly complacent or lax ", he urged that the highest level of vigilance, especially 「 neighbouring countries" another outbreak.

Nearly every country in the world has been hit by the epidemic, with at least 10.7 million people worldwide infected with coronary virus disease in 2019, and about 516,000 people death, the way the epidemic has not seen before to impact people`s daily life and economic activities.
