Earlier this month in sydney's inner west district, police released photo, of suspects calling for clues in a case where passers-by were inexplicably beaten and seriously injured.

New state police said friday, september 18 at around 10.45 a.m., emergency service personnel were beaten to call the police, arrived at the Glebe (Bay Street) and gross street (Grose Street) intersection.

A 60-year-old man was walking north along laurel street when he was hit in the stomach by a man passing by.

The attacker is believed to be a young man in his mid-20s, who has never lived with the elderly. After boxing the old man's stomach, he turned back and slammed the back of the old man's head and fled the scene.

The injured old man was taken to the Royal Alfred Hospital after receiving on-site treatment from the New State Emergency Services staff. He was allegedly seriously injured in the head, including a fractured skull. After his surgery, he is now discharged.

A video capture of a man believed to be a suspect in an unprovoked attack on the elderly was released today after police officers in the Leichhardt local police district in Sydney opened an investigation into the case.

The man is described as an olive-colored skin, thin, with a short black beard, about 20 years old. He was wearing a black sweatshirt and black sweatpants.
