A new round of admission notices for colleges and universities in victoria, australia, will be issued tomorrow (wednesday). Monash University School of Medicine received 2277 applications making medical science the state`s most popular academic degree course. So far, by contrast, the university`s new bachelor`s degree in politics, philosophy and economics has issued only 21 admission notices.
A speaker at the university of monachs said the university had reserved 37 per cent of admission to some courses, meaning many students who failed to get admission in december were likely to receive an admission notice for this week`s round.
Australian catholic universities (Australian Catholic University, ACU), with campuses in melbourne and balarat, are the most popular academic degree in 2020: bachelor of nursing, bachelor of language pathology and bachelor of education.
Professor Pauline Nugent, of the Australian Catholic University, said:" Young people are becoming more of a fan of career choices that match community and labour market needs. "
Deakin University, which has campuses in Melbourne, Geelong and Wanable, has marine science, nutrition and business promotions to the three most popular academic degree courses.
Will Barker, an 18-year-old student from Inverloch, a coastal town in Virginia, is one of a number of students from across the state who head to the Geelong campus to study marine science. He expressed the hope that the courses needed to be taken at the academic degree would provide him with opportunities to study outdoors and that he would work to protect Australia`s valuable marine environment and resources.
Nursing classes are also the first choice for students at Swinburne University.
Scholarships have been awarded to students at colleges and universities in wystate, many of which are for students in poor, rural and remote areas, as well as those who excel in college entrance examination. (Yu Kuai)
