On January 11, 2018, the Australian Immigration Service website released an update on Australia's immigration policy, including the update of the Australian occupation list, spouses reunification visas for same-sex marriage, and 888C permanent residence for 188C visas. Temporary skills shortage visas TSS (formerly 457 visas) and employer-guaranteed visa updates, among others, are intercepted in this article as follows:

1. The update of the occupation list of skilled immigrants will take effect on January 17, 2018.

In April 2017, Australia's goverment set up a six-month update to the list of occupations, starting on July 1, 2017, and after the first six months.

2, same-sex marriage applies for spouse reunion visa, spouse option can be changed to spousal (spouse).

Unlike the previous choice of de facto partner (de facto partner), this change applies to a permanent visa for 100 spouses, a temporary visa for 309 spouses, a permanent visa for 801 spouses and a temporary visa for 820 spouses. And 300 unmarried couples temporary visas.

3. Immigration Service reminder from 188C to 888C

Since the first 188C visa applicant was approved in early 2013, the Immigration Board has now received applications for a permanent residence visa from 188C to 888C. However, many applicants have submitted 888C applications prematurely. This makes it difficult for them to meet the application requirements and be refused.

Therefore, the Immigration Board has advised that applicants who submit 188C before July 1, 2015 must submit their 888C permanent residence visa three years and 11 months after the approval of the 88C, and that the application for a permanent residence visa of 888C should be submitted three years and 11 months after its approval. Applicants who submit 188C after July 1, 2015 are required to apply for a 888C permanent residence visa four years after their approval.
