Victoria's governor, Andrews (Daniel Andrews), sent a good message to young Australians to comply with the new restrictions on new coronary pneumonia. Andrews posted a long post on Facebook last night urging young Victorian people to "do the right thing" and respect existing rules. He wrote on Saturday night ," I promise it's not a sermon, it's not a lesson -- and I won't blame you for anything. "Andrews warns that if people continue to do wrong things and ignore restrictions, more people will lose their lives.

The text reads as follows:

I promise you it's not preaching, it's not teaching -- and I won't blame you for anything. I'm not your dad, I' m not your boss, and I'm not your teacher, but I have a message I want to share with the young Victorian.

And most likely, you may know people who don't follow the rules, friends, friends in fb, people in school or college -- it really does n' t matter. It is also possible on days like today, on weekends, on a quiet Saturday night: you may be asked to choose between going out and staying at home. You'll be invited over, out, and have a few drinks - no big deal. Nothing dangerous. You might think so too -- I won't blame anyone for wanting to be with friends now. And you can even find a way to rationalize: it's a small party, you wo n' t be caught, and your partner hasn't infected virus..

The whole pandemic may feel miles away from you, your community, your friends and your life. But let us not ignore the facts before us. 61 people were killed. 3995 people were ill. Tonight there are 42 people in ICU beds, and their families are wondering if they can make it to tomorrow.

There are two children in the hospital. eight young victorians under the age of 30 are just like you – not sure how long they might stay there or how bad things will get. The people you see on TV, the numbers we draw every morning - they are not casualties in wars in distant places. they are real people – real victorians – none of them thought they would fight for their lives.

I know it's hard, I know it's frustrating, I know you've forgotten it - believe me, me too. But if you're sitting there right now, decide if you' re taking the risk. be aware that if we let this virus spread – if people ignore the rules, or pretend that this does not happen: the limits will become stricter, the number of cases will become larger, and more people will lose their lives.

So please - either for yourself, your partner, your mom, your grandma, your state, or just to pass these restrictions. Do the right thing.
