According to Australian News Network, roadside parking in an Australian city can cost up to A $50 an hour, which is accused of being like a "road robbery."

It is reported that Brisbane CBD drivers pay the highest short-term roadside parking fees in Australia, with an average of A $31.41 an hour and A $18.3 an hour for 30 minutes. (RACQ) of the Royal Queensland Automobile Association called it a "road robbery."

According to the Association`s latest CBD parking fee report (CBD Parking Prices Report), the highest parking costs for 30 minutes and an hour in Brisbane are Fortune World Hotel (Treasury Brisbane), of A $50. The highest parking fee all day is (Care Park), at Carl Park in (Tank Street), tank Street, at A $97.

Brisbane`s roadside parking costs are the least expensive of$5 an hour, and Melbourne and Sydney are$7 an hour and$7.4, respectively.

Speaker Smith (Renee Smith), speaker of the Royal Queensland Automobile Association, said Brisbane drivers paid the highest average short-term roadside parking fee in Australia, with a full-day parking fee of just A $1 less than Sydney.

She said in a statement that this is a "road robbery" for drivers and will eventually see CBD shops and restaurants pay the price because people can`t afford to stop here.

In addition, drivers will be surprised to find that Brisbane parking costs A $76.77 a day, just A $1 cheaper than Sydney. Prices have risen by more than A $4 in the past year.

Smith said more and more drivers would go to suburban shopping malls if better parking costs were not available in the city, where parking was free or cheaper.

However, she also said it was encouraging that some parking stations, which originally charged as much as A $89 a day, had cut fees last year. In addition, drivers still need to adopt frugal strategies to avoid high parking fees, such as booking parking spaces online and taking advantage of cheaper early arrival prices.

It is reported that among the parliament stop in Brisbane, (Wickham Terrace) in Wickham and (King george square) in King George Square are the cheapest, at A $35 a day. If it is an electric car or a hybrid car, you can also get a bigger discount.
