ACS (The Australian Computer Society) is an immigrant career assessment body for ICT occupations designated by the Australian Department of Immigration, which assesses jobs related to computers and communications. Only those who pass the ACS assessment can make the next visa application or state guarantee application. The IT career assessment does not require IELTS, so IELTS can be prepared in parallel during the career assessment process, which saves the most time.

ACS ICT career assessment, professional and academic qualifications are not required; The ACS evaluation is valid for two years and the evaluation cycle is 12 weeks. Beginning in April 2013, the new ACS criteria began to be based on the applicant's academic qualifications, professional and professional years of service. Work experience after meeting the assessment criteria is Skilled employment: Only employment completed after the date you have met the ACS requirements will be counted as skilled employment.

ACS career Assessment Category (distinct groupings) and years of deduction (New Standard 2014)

* Bachelor's degree, Master's degree and Postgraduate degree: *

1) Major in ICT:

-the profession is highly related to the nominating profession, with a reduction of 2 years or 4 years at any time in the last 10 years, and which effective time is the earliest one. In other words, if the applicant has worked for 11 years, the applicant will have to be deducted for three or four years;

-Professional and nominating occupations are not highly relevant and are deducted by four years at any given time;

2) minor ICT

-there is a high degree of correlation between profession and occupation, with a deduction of five years or six years for any period of time within the last 10 years, and which effective time is the earliest, whichever is the first;

-profession and occupation are not highly related and are deducted for any period of time by six years;

* non-degree qualifications, (Diploma) and qualifications (e.g., college qualifications), majoring in ICT:**

-the profession is highly related to the promotion of occupation, and may be deducted by 5 years or 6 years at any time in the last 10 years;

-Professional and career promotion is not highly related, at any time period deductions of 6 years.

* non-ICT-related qualifications or degrees: * minus 6 years and require RPL program reports.

There is no formal (No Tertiary Education Qualifications): * deduction for 8 years and RPL project reports are required.

Note: ACS nomination, useful years are calculated from the point where both job requirements and academic qualifications are met. For example, the applicant worked in 2003-08, received a computer ICT Major degree in 2009, and the effective years of work began after receiving the degree in 2009.

For Australian ICT major applicants who apply for a permanent residence visa, one year of career-related work experience is required to apply for a career assessment. But the number of valid years has been calculated since the Australian degree was obtained, that is, no deductions. Other countries need to reduce their working years in accordance with the above rules, which is disadvantageous to the applicant.

Definition of minor (Minor) and non-ICT (Non-ICT Qualification) qualifications in ACS majoring in (Major),

-at least 20% of ICT courses are required for a 5-year course

3) for a master's degree, a degree (not required to be an ICT major), at least one and a half years of full-time study and the following conditions can be identified as Majo

-at least one year of full-time ICT studies;

-at least 12 courses (a little less outside Australia);

-2-year master's degree at least 50% of the ICT programme;

-A 3-year master's degree requires no less than 33% of the ICT program.
