On Thursday, a Chinese student from the University of Sydney (USyd) was attacked by a man on the first day of the school. It was said that the man was still heading to the water of a number of Asian students passing by his side.

On Aug. 8, an international graduate student from China was attacked by a man in a gray hoodie on the campus of the University of Sydney, the University of Sydney student newspaper Honi Soit reported. He may have been one of several Asian students targeted by the man that day.

The Chinese student was spit and beaten several times. Around 4:45 p.m. , a key was stamped into his eye. Fortunately, he had only had a swelling in his eyes without using an ambulance, leaving the scene after the incident.

The student and one of his friends spoke with Honi Soit, but both were reluctant to be named. It was said that several people walked down the stairs from the Wentworth Building to the City Road Bridge, and were subjected to the sound of the suspected attackers.

Recalling what happened, the man seemed to spit only at Asian-American students, the two said. The man was said to have used insulting words when he was full of wine and scolded.

A video Honi Soit saw showed the man spit at a man when the Chinese student asked the man "what are you doing" and pushed it away.

The Chinese student was then beaten in the face, rebelled and punched for a second time. During the second attack, the man sandwiched a key between his fingers and touched the student`s left eye. After someone threat wants to call the police, this talent leave the scene.

It is reported that Chinese students who had been attacked had received a four-year undergraduate student at the University of New South Wales. He said he had never felt racism before.

The student also said he was "disappointed" by the slow response of campus security (Campus Security) and the police. According to him, a campus security officer did not arrive at the scene until 10 minutes after receiving the report, and two police officers did not arrive until 40 minutes later. The University of Sydney questioned that campus security arrived within four minutes and police arrived at the scene in 10 minutes. A campus security officer who was present declined to comment.

``The school does not welcome any intimidation, abuse or thread, and we want the student to ask for support, `` one speaker told Honi Soit.

The University of Sydney Student Union (University of Sydney Union) also issued a statement saying the waiting time was "deeply disturbing" and stressed the importance of sense of security on campus.

The case has been recorded by the police. The students who were attacked told Honi Soit that they "want prosecute."
