As part of the National Action week (National Week of Action) campaign against dangerous border control substances, Australia and Hong Kong, China, in partnership with authorities, seized 20 litres of liquid MDMA GBL, commonly known as "rohypnol water", and executed 40 search warrants and other anti-crime operations across Australia.

Australia`s Federal Police(AFP)said today that Australian authorities have seized a large number of``rohypnol water`` smuggled from Asia over the past two years, with 197 batches, with a total weight of 7.6 tons.

With the support of (NNCC) of China`s National Drug Control Commission, (Taskforce Blaze) and AFP have cooperated with police in states and territories to crack down on the crime of smuggling "rohypnol water".

National Action week was initiated by the Glass Fiber reinforced Plastics Task Group (Vitreus Taskforce). The ad hoc group is composed of law enforcement agencies from all states and territories in Australia. AFP, and the Australian Border Service (ABF), operations are mainly aimed at the increasing number of "rohypnol water" and 1,4-butylene glycol seized along the Australian border, as well as to address the impact of such drug on society.

In addition to the fiberglass Task Force, there are foreign partners, including the Customs and Excise Department of Hong Kong, China. As part of Operation (Operation Hailfellow), the target of this week`s operation was mainly illegal substances smuggled from China, resulting in the seizure of 6.4kg of "rohypnol water" in Hong Kong.

In Australia, in response to the smuggling of illegal drug and leading drugs, authorities conducted searches of dozens of enterprises and homes in Kunzhou, New State, Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia. Arrest interviewed three people and questioned many people. Relevant scientific authentication is still under way.

In a search of (Castle Hill) in Fort Sydney, authorities seized 20 liters of "rohypnol water" and charged a 30-year-old man living in Fort Peak with smuggling and possession of weapons. (Enyo)
