Arrest of 277 marijuana, Australian Chinese male

Sydney's chinese man was heard by a local court in Wyong on suspicion of planting 277 marijuana plants and stealing electricity from a hydropower station. The 28-year-old man, ShengheChi,, who lives in Sydney's Ashfield, refused to help translate Mandarin when he appeared in court in the Wyong District Court on May 19, the Daily Telegraph reported May 20.

The 28-year-old man, Shenghe Chi,, who lives in Sydney`s Ashfield, refused to help translate Mandarin when he appeared in court in the Wyong District Court on May 19, the Daily Telegraph reported May 20.

Both the man involved confessed to the offences of planting marijuana and stealing electricity. The third accusation,, intentional access of children to the large-scale cultivation of illicit drugs, has been withdrawn by the New State Public Prosecution Service (DPP).

The case of Chishengyi will be heard again in the Wyong District Court on 2 June and subsequently transferred to the Gosford District Court for judgement.

Reportedly, a neighbor earlier reported to the police, which prompted the new state crime command drug and guns investigation team (SCCDFS) set up a special task force to investigate hydroponics.
