Immigrants from English-speaking countries such as Europe and the UK are more supportive of reducing immigration than native-born Australians, according to a new study.

According to the Pioneer Sun, more than half of immigrants from English-speaking countries believe Australia is at risk of losing its culture and identity, according to a survey by (Australian Population Research Institute), the Australian Institute of population.

Asian migrants, on the other hand, are more supportive of raising immigration quotas. At the same time, they are more likely to disagree with the idea that Australia is losing its culture and identity.

The survey, conducted in late 2018, revealed that 58 percent of English-speaking immigrants and 56 percent of European immigrants were in favour of Australia`s immigration cuts. By contrast, half of Australian-born residents were in favor of it, while only 1 / 3 were Asian immigrants.

Overall, non-undergraduate graduates (60%) are more likely to cut immigration than bachelor-degree residents (33%). In addition, English-speaking countries and European baccalaureate immigrants want to cut back more than any other group of birthplaces.
