Gallery of Modern Art is located in Brisbane, Queensland's capital, within the Brisbane South Bank Park (Brisbane South Bank Parkland) on the south bank of the Brisbane River, (Brisbane River), next to the Queensland State Library (State Library of Queensland).
GOMA was built in 2006, mainly used to hold various short-term art exhibitions, Andy Warhol (Andy Warhol) works exhibition, Matisse (Henri Matisse) art exhibition, Cai Guoqiang "return to the Earth" art exhibition held here. The museum is designed by Architectus, an Australian design company, with a large area of glass curtain walls and modern building materials that highlight its literary and international character. And the shape of the Fangzheng and other landmarks on the south bank to achieve coordination. The museum has 16000 permanent exhibits covering Australian indigenous art, local art, modern art in the Pacific and Asia, and works of art from other parts of the world.
