Floriade is the largest flower show in the southern hemisphere, first held in 1998, and has since been held every year from mid-September to mid-October (spring in the southern hemisphere). It is considered one of the most important tourism events in the Canberra, also known as the Australian Spring Festival, in the Federal Park (Commonwealth Park) on Lake Griffin.
And there is no place to celebrate the return of the spring of every year with a bigger spectacle than Canberra. Over the 30 days of the Floriade, even the whole Canberra was full of life, and the federal park was transformed into a sea of flowers, with tulips, iris, daffodils, hyacinths, cordieri, chrysanthemums, curls and daisies competing and beautiful.
Floriade scale is huge, like 8 football field big park will turn into a colorful, beautiful flower sea during the festival, this strong sensory feast guarantees to let the love flower personage be fascinated by it, even the poet also praises. In addition to the dizzying beauty of flowers, there are entertainment food stalls and activities specially prepared for children to understand nature.
The flower show has a different theme every year. It will attract more than hundreds of thousands of visitors in a month. The flower festival night (NightFest), which began in 2008, is the highlight of the annual flower show. Every night, different program, bring visitors a series of entertainment, bazaar and wine and delicacies. Visitors can taste wine, dance, listen to symphonies, pick local handicrafts at night markets, watch creative performances by street artists, watch circus performances, etc. Night, flowers, lights and music together to create a wonderful flower sea feast.
